Privacy notice

This privacy notice explains what personal data SilkPath (Aalborg, Denmark, CVR 46582403) collects when you visit silkpath.io, why we collect it, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. What we collect

We keep the amount of data we collect to the minimum needed to run our website and understand how people find and use it.

• Contact form submissions. Name, brand, email, phone (optional), role and any message you write. Used only to reply to your inquiry.
• Technical logs. Our server records IP addresses, browser type and requested URLs for security and troubleshooting. Retained up to 30 days.
• Analytics & ad measurement (Meta Pixel). Only if you accept in the cookie banner. See section 3.

2. Cookies

We use two categories of cookies:

• Strictly necessary. Session cookies for the admin area only. These are never used for tracking.
• Analytics & advertising. Meta (Facebook) Pixel — loaded only after you click Accept in the banner. If you Decline (or ignore the banner), Meta Pixel is not loaded and no data is sent to Meta.

You can change your mind at any time by clearing this site's storage in your browser, or by clicking the button below to reset your choice.

3. Meta (Facebook) Pixel

If you accept the cookie banner, we place the Meta Pixel on your device. It collects anonymised information about page visits and actions on our site, and shares it with Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd so we can measure the performance of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram.

The processing is based on your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). SilkPath and Meta act as joint controllers for this specific data (Art. 26 GDPR). Meta's own use of that data is governed by their Data Policy and their Controller Addendum.

4. Who receives your data

• Our email provider (to receive contact form messages).
• Our hosting provider (server logs).
• Meta Platforms Ireland (only if you accepted the pixel).

We do not sell your data and we do not share it with anyone else.

5. How long we keep it

• Contact form submissions: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Server logs: up to 30 days.
• Cookie choice: stored in your browser only, until you clear it.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or export the personal data we hold about you, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to info@silkpath.io.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority. In Denmark that is Datatilsynet.
